Dr Taras Fedirko is a research associate at the Department of Social Anthropology and St John’s College, University of Cambridge. As a political anthropologist, he is currently researching political journalism in the context of the Ukrainian oligarchic media economy. He was awarded a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Durham in 2017, with a thesis exploring the impact of oil corporate lobbying and NGOs on anti-corruption policies in the British government. Taras also holds an MA in IR and East European studies from Bologna, where he researched corruption in the Ukrainian land administration, and a BSc in Geography from the University of Lviv.
